The Native Bee House Observatory is made from weather-resistant fir wood and coated with a bee-friendly wax coating to enhance its durability. It has dimensions of 7.4 inches wide, 11 inches high, and 2 inches deep. It is ready to be hung (wall mounting screws are not included, so please choose appropriate ones for your chosen mounting surface). To assemble, simply screw the two acrylic panels onto the frame of the bee house (screwdriver not included), and then you can start observing the wonders of nature.
One side of the bee house is suitable for common Mason Bees, while the other side is most suitable for smaller native bees like Leaf Cutter Bees.
Cleaning the bee house is essential to maintain its reusability and prevent infestation of parasites and diseases. The acrylic panels can be easily removed for cleaning each season, and each bee house comes with a small brush that is suitable for cleaning the nesting tunnels.
